No. Pricing is per enrolled student, and that covers every account the school needs — admins, teachers, students and parent logins included.
Can we move our existing data across?
Yes. Student records, staff details, past academics and existing notes can be migrated. On the School and District plans migration is done for you as part of onboarding.
What happens between academic years?
Paperhint rolls a year over rather than resetting it. Sections are promoted, the library and question banks carry forward, and the previous year stays available as a record.
Do parents need to install anything?
No. Parent updates on marks, homework and performance arrive by email, triggered by the teacher who shares them.
What do we need to run Paperhint?
A phone and a browser. Answer sheets and attendance registers are photographed with the mobile app — no scanners, no new hardware, and nothing changes about the paper your school already uses.
Where does the marking rubric come from?
From you. The rubric arrives with the question paper's answer key when Paperhint drafts it, or the teacher sets their own — every sheet is then scored against that rubric, the same way for every student, and the teacher reviews and approves the result.
Where does our school's data live, and who can see it?
Your school's data stays your school's. Marks, student records and parent contacts are scoped to your school's account, and nothing is visible outside accounts on your school's email. We don't sell or share school data.
Is there a mid-year start?
Yes — schools commonly start mid-term with question papers, grading and the shared library first, then move academics across at the term break. Billing is pro-rated to your academic year.
